Consultation & Teaching
Consultation
After working in several mental health agencies it became apparent that despite best intentions, agencies often struggle to provide trauma-informed support to their staff and the people they serve.

The effect of this struggle leads to burn-out, compassion fatigue, termination of employment, iatrogenic and vicarious trauma and mental health crises.

Before offering solutions, I want to first understand the historical nature of the agency and its functioning. From there I am able to support agencies through individual and group discussion, implementation of evidenced based practices to combat vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, and trauma informed systemic interventions.

Teaching
I started teaching at Bunker Hill Community College in 2018 and found a passion for helping human services workers learn the nuances of the field. I have also taught at Lesley University and am a former co-director of the Institute of Developmental Transformations in Boston, Massachusetts.

I have taught courses on Ethics, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Case Management, Substance Abuse Treatment, Counseling Theories, Sexual Education, Dramatic Play Therapy, Trauma Informed Clinical Interventions and Family Development Credential.

Based on interest and applicability I am able to curate courses and trainings specific to both agency and individual needs.
