A Centering Moment, LLC

Since 2010 I have worked in a myriad of different settings in the New England area, to include a Suboxone and methadone clinic, a intensive outpatient program for women struggling with substance abuse, a homeless shelter, a partial hospitalization program for mental health and substance abuse, a residential program for children in foster care, a residential juvenile justice center for adolescents, a therapeutic after school program for latency aged children and a community outpatient center.

In working in these settings I sought to support clients in their understanding of how trauma impacts mental, social, emotional, biological, sexual, interpersonal and spiritual functioning.  I also found that the most effective therapy occurs in a relational encounter between therapist and client, where the work interweaves change and acceptance with playfulness and compassionate presence.

My approach emphasizes interventions of dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma informed psychotherapy, existential therapy, family systems therapy, sex therapy, and drama therapy. In providing comprehensive care I hope to depathologize storied narratives and enhance holistic well-being.
